The Tiverton Arts Council Presents: Robert Busse and Dianne Larkin in an Art and Glass Exhibition. The Tiverton Arts Gallery located at Tiverton Town Hall is presenting a vibrant look at Celebrity Portraits through the eyes of Tiverton born Artist, Robert Busse and a whimsical view of Dianne Larkin’s fused glass. The exhibit is a collaborative effort between emerging fine artist Robert Busse and the fused glass wizardry of Dianne Larkin.Robert Busse’s work is a compilation of celebrity portraits produced over the last 12 months, which utilize color and Expressionism to deliver a vibrant view of celebrities such as; Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty, Audrey Hepburn, Johhny Dep as Captain Jack Sparrow, Marilyn Monroe, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Elvis, The Mona Lisa, Einstein, and others. After 25 years of corporate communications, Robert has embarked on a new journey which is focused on redeveloping skills he has long put aside. “I’m so excited to kickoff this part of my life right where it all began”, stated Robert Busse. “This exhibition is meant to be fun for the viewer, but for me, it has been an experimentation on technique and use of color, all to help me get back up to speed when it comes to painting on canvas. I have much more in store for this expedition through fine arts and I am truly excited about exploring new techniques and finding a subject matter that makes a significant social impact.”Dianne Larkin is a local fused glass artist located at Mill Pond Shops. Dianne’s glass creations began in 1986 at Whittmore Durgin in Hanover, Massachusetts as stained glass images. With the discovery of fused glass in 1992 Dianne’s designs became more reflective of the freestyle that fused glass allows. By 2000 Dianne was experimenting with recycled glass and this is now her favorite medium for sea creatures and nature scenes.Located at 343 Highland Road Tiverton, RI 02878 | Learn more at www.facebook.com/TivertonArtsCouncil
