All Day A Taste Of Theater This festival will feature Shelly Garrett, Jonathan Dorf, Prof. Charles Smith and Mike Oquendo teaching theater classes during the day. A Taste of Theater Festival scheduled for October 12th and 13th in Chicago at the historic Portage Theater 4050 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL. 60641. This two-day event seeks to educate and expose participants to the theater experience on and behind the stage through daily workshops on topics such as scripts, staging, costumes, promotion/marketing and other aspects of the business. Expert panelists will share their knowledge and experiences with theater production enthusiasts. Both evenings playwrights from around the country will showcase one scene of their play to be voted on by the audience. This event will also be webcasted on the computer. Celebrating their 40th anniversary, the iconic folk-rock duo will perform their 1972 Elektra Records debut album in its entirety.
