BRISTOL WALKING TOUR

Linden Place Msueum will host a walking tour of Linden Place Mansion and downtown Bristol, RI foucsed specifically on Bristol's DeWolf Family and their involvement in the Salve Trade.  The guided tour will take place on Saturday, September 13th at 10am and will begin at Linden Place.  Tour is $20 for non-members and $15 for members. for more info call 401-253-0390

 

RI WALK FOR CHILDREN WITH APRAXIA

The 2nd Annual RI Walk for Children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech will be held on September 14th from 10a-2p at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. Join Ecuadorian artist Poncho Franco for a puppet-making workshop at Providence Children's Museum to celebrate Hispanic Heritgae Month.  Families deocrate fabric puppets with clothing and accessories typical of Latino countries and learn how to handle the puppets. Also explore the Museum's coming to Rhode Island exhibit, a time-traveling adventure that celebrates the state's cultural diversity, and shop in the 1960's bodega of Domiican immigrant Josefina Rosario.
