WSAR News Headlines

After a Thursday Afternoon Session at a Fall River Dunkin Donuts between Fall River City Council Vice President Ray Mitchell, City Council Member Mike Miozza and City Administrator Cathy Ann Viveiros produced a budget deal that was approved later that night the aftermath now finds Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan telling WSAR that slicing six figures from the FRPD overtime line item will be monitored and adjusted as necessary.

Among the cuts that produced enough money--''close enough'' according to Superintendent Meg Mayo Brown--for Net School Spending for the School Department, were $5,000 from the salary of the City Administrator, as well as reductions from most major municipal departments.
